Blogging Resolutions 2008

Happy New Year Bloggers!! It's 2008 and it's time to make some blogging resolutions. Yup, even bloggers make news years resolutions, the trick is in keeping them.

So here goes, here are mine, I doubt I have what it takes to keep to them all, but I am gonna try. Feel free to add them to yours, or add yours to these, or pick and choose a couple, no matter what, they should make our blogging business better.

In 2008 I resolve to do the following blog type things....

1) I will always remember to 'ping' my blogs on services like Feed Shark.

2) I will remember that technorati is a bloggers best friend and in addition to pinging I will use the services they offer.

3) I resolve to ensure I post every post I write to the social book marking sites like digg and de.licious.

4) I will develop a posting schedule for each of my blogs and stick to it. This is one of the biggest challenges of trying to maintain several blogs. My goal is to have at least 100 posts on each blog by April 1, 2008. Oh my...that is gonna be aggressive. But...it's a new year, I can do it.

5) I will track my daily earnings from each of my various affiliates and ppc providers in a handwritten journal.

6) I will use channels and other Adsense programs to track which ads perform the best.

7) I will add a new blog at a minimum of one every two months until it becomes completely unbearable and I go insane and my wife finally puts a hammer through my computer screen. Failing that, I will continue to add Amazon A-Store's until I reach the limit of 100 stores. The I will go back and update the category pages and products....oh this is a big one...

8) I will make sure each of my blog posts has a link to something in it, one of my affiliate programs or failing that, at least a link to one of my other sites or a friend's site.

9) I will post a product review post on each of my blogs at least once per month.

10) I will figure out the damm program that came with my digital camera, and post more pictures on my blogs.

There's 10, none of them too difficult, except maybe figuring out the camera program that gives me fits, otherwise, they are all doable, just gotta remember to do it.

Finally, number 11, the bonus resolution. I resolve to increase the earnings on my blogpire to an amount that makes a difference to my financial situation by the end of the year 2008. I will do this by staying abreast of new blog developments, adding new blogs and increasing the number of posts on each of my current blogs.

So...kind of aggressive, more of a business plan than a new year's resolution, but it is my resolution list nonetheless. Let's see if I cans stick to it, and make blogging a viable income producing endeavor.
