Bidvertiser Ads For Feeds

I had an email today from BidVertiser wanting me to know about something they have going on in the advertising business, advertisements for feeds.

Now I haven't had a great deal of success with Bidvertiser so far, but to be honest, I haven't really used them much either. Not that I didn't like their program, it is pretty easy to set up and use, it's just that I only have so much room on my blogs for advertisments and even though I want to make money blogging, there is a limit.

Therefore I had to choose between Bidvertiser, Adengage and Adsense, along with my Amazon stores and Clickbank affiliations. Bidvertiser lost out and I dropped their ads from most, but not all of my sites. For one thing, I don't find that Bidvertiser ads are as contextually close to my content as those of Adsense, or for that matter Adengage.

However, when the email arrived, talking about advertisments for feeds, I couldn't help but be curious, so I opened my Bidvertiser account and followed the steps to add it to one of my blogs. That is where it gets foggy for me. I did what the instructions said to do, and at one point I did see the ads in my feed, so think it is working. I also added something that is a drop down list that allows readers to subscribe to my blog in a reader of their choice, which is really a duplication of the readers widgets I was already showing on that blog. But, I let it stay there, it doesn't take up much space and I am curious about it.

Time will tell whether this was a worthwhile way to spend 20 minutes, but what the heck, in the blogging business, you have to be diversified, and there is no harm in trying something new to see what happens. I'll watch the performance of the ads for a while and let you know if it is working for me.
