Make Money Blogging

Welcome to my blog. Like so many other blogs and websites this is about making money with blogs and websites....in particular this is about my experiences making money on the internet. At the time of this writing, I am the author of something in the area of 40 blogs, which keeps me pretty busy. Along the way I have learned quite a bit about what works and what doesn't. I hope my experiences help you.

Where to Find Inspiration

Writing blogs to make money, in fact, writing of any kind to take money requires a lot of hard work. Whether you are writing books, or freelancing magazine and newspaper stories or perhaps writing manuscripts for movies and television shows, it's all work. Blogging is no different. It's work. Especially if you want to build a readership and be paid for your effort.

Blogging for money requires you to be writer and publisher, editor, photographer, artist, and whatever else is necessary to make your blog a success.

So where do you find the inspiration to churn out a blog, or in my case about 4 or 5 blogs a day? Good question....I think inspiration is for many, a very individual thing, I also think it is something you can develop and encourage.

If you think you can sit and stare at the wall until a brilliant idea hits you, I doubt you will make it big blogging...on the other hand, if that is what you need to do to get ideas...well go for it. As I said, blogging is a rather individual pursuit.

However, inspiration is also to be found in other things. Sometimes taking a break from you money making ideas and blogging, will prompt a multitude of new ideas. So will a little vacation. But we can't always be on break or vacation, as much as we might like to be. So that means we have to force inspiration sometimes to get things done.

The beauty of blogging is that inspiration is all around us, and one way in particular to find some is merely by reading other blogs. Sometimes you will come across a post that piques you interest, and maybe you leave a comment, chances are if you feel a comment is necessary, then there is probably a blog story in it for you, perhaps a different blog on the same topic, with your own individual style or opinion thrown in to make it not only memorable, but original.

Inspiration can come from many places, and often when we least expect it. A notebook is a good thing to carry to jot down ideas when they come along so you won't forget them, because forget them you will if they are not recorded somewhere as soon as the idea strikes. That isn't news folks, writers and artists and other idea people have been doing that forever.

Reading the internet news releases, newspapers, or even watching television news is another way to get ideas, regardless of your blog niche. Absorb everything around you at all times, experience it, feel it, and remember it, someday soon you might be blogging about it.

Of course if all else fails, sometimes you just have to sit in front of your computer and stare at the blank screen until you think of something to write. This takes focus and usually works for individuals who have managed to develop a mental process for going through their thoughts and memories for ideas. Perhaps you play word association games to get your mind working, or talk to a buddy, see what is on his/her mind, often friends are good sources of topics.

Cartoonists are usually pretty good at pulling ideas out of thin air, given that many of them are under contract to write and draw a funny comic strip or panel cartoon on a deadline each day, so are newspaper columnists.

So if you are looking for inspiration, look outside yourself, and then inside yourself and back again. Read everything, watch everything, and then think about how you feel about it, and perhaps you will have the beginning of a blog post that will get you through another day....
