Although some may think when it comes to blog or website advertising, Adsense is the only game in town. On some level I still believe this to be true. However, there are numerous ppc advertising programs out there, some not as well known as others, but climbing in popularity. I would be remiss if I didn't tell you about some of the other ones available, especially the ones I have used before myself.
One program that I have used successfully in the past and continue to use on some of my blogs is AdEngage.
AdEngage is a simple to use program that allows you to select the types of companies and organizations you don't want advertising on your website, and then delivers ads from the ones you do want. They are not necessarily contextual ads like Adsense provides, but you can sort it out to at least get advertisments that are in keeping with the theme and topic of your website.
There are a couple of features about Adengage that I like. The first is they enable you to set your price for weekly advertisements, whatever you want. Then they take a small cut of the revenue from the ads and pay you the rest. They suggest you start out low and as demand increases gradually raise your prices.
If you don't have anyone sign up to advertise on your site, the good folks at AdEngage deliver what they call 'run of network' ads which are typically close to the types of ads you want. In the case of 'run of network ads' you are paid on a per click plan.
I have had pretty good luck with AdEngage and my dealings with them have been excellent. They respond to my enquiries quickly and efficiently. It's easy to sign up and get your site approved. They give you lots of choices to design your own advertisments to fit the style and layout of your site and they have what they call PhoText ads, which are a combination photo and text ad that are very eye catching.
If you are looking for an alternative to the ad provider you currently use, I suggest you check out AdEngage.

Make Money Blogging
Welcome to my blog. Like so many other blogs and websites this is about making money with blogs and websites....in particular this is about my experiences making money on the internet. At the time of this writing, I am the author of something in the area of 40 blogs, which keeps me pretty busy. Along the way I have learned quite a bit about what works and what doesn't. I hope my experiences help you.

3 I welcome your comments:
Can i have adengage and adsense in one page?
Yes Milkyway, Adsense have lightened their rules about this and you can display Adsense and Adengage on the same page. My first suggestion is you check the Adsense rules, to be sure they are OK with what you intend to do. However, Adsense do require you to separate the two, and make it clear which ads are which. Adengage do not have any rules that prohibit you from displaying other ads on the same page. I have recently incorporated both in some of my websites.
Did you get any luck with selling ads using adengage ? I get googd traffic on my site but still I am not able to sell any ad.
