PayDay

I got a cheque today from Google for my Adsense advertisments on my blogs. What a nice feeling to be paid for writing, because that is really what those of us in the blogging world are. First and foremost we are writers, and we all know how hard it is to be able to call yourself a paid writer.
Well I guess I am in that category now. This wasn't my first cheque from blogging, I have made a little money from some other affiliate and advertising programs but my first from Google.

It took a little longer than I orginially anticipated to reach the minimum mark for a payment, but I did it and actually went longer than I needed to, but I had put a hold on the payment for month to get it up a bit more and it worked.

My understanding is that I am not allowed to tell you how much I made from my Adsense ads, so I won't. I will tell you it wasn't life changing money or anything, but it was enough to make a trip to the bank worthwhile to cash the cheque.

This is really kind of fun. Creating and writing a blog or blogs is fun in and of itself, but being paid for it adds another positive dimension to the whole thing. It's also incentive to keep at it, proving that some of what folks say is true, you can make money blogging. Now I just have to keep improving and tweaking things to make it pay some more.

I long for and dream about the day when I am making some serious, life changing money, or at least life improving money from all of my efforts and it's times like these when I think it just might be possible.....
