As I have mentioned in earlier posts, getting good traffic to your blog is essential if you want to become a famous blogger and make money from your blogging efforts and Adsense contextual advertisments.

One way to get to traffic, and the one I will mention time and time again before anything else is create great content and lots of it. This is what I believe should be formost in your mind at all times. Good content will ultimately bring you the rewards you deserve.

So you have good content, now what? People are still not coming to your blog in the numbers you need to make money from your advertisments and other money generating items. Now it's about the second most important thing after great content, traffic.

Getting targeted traffic to a blog is never really easy. In fact it is work, but it's necessary if you want to build a blog from a glimmer of an idea to a successful website that generates money for you, making you in essence a paid writer.

One of the best ways to build your traffic, is submitting to social book marking sites like del.icio.us and others. These websites give you a place to post a link to what you have written along with some keyword tags and a short piece of text that explains what your blog or recent post is about.

del.icio.us also lets others save your post as a favorite to return to it later and at the same time giving it some airplay to any of their own readers who may find your link when they are looking through the del.icio.us website.

Of course if you get posted on the del.icio.us popular pages you will have all kinds of traffic, but getting there is the hard part. Like anything to do with blogging, it takes good content, and lots of it.
